On the occasion of 71st Republic Day of India, a Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held at the residence of Assistant High Commissioner at 0900 hrs. AHC read Hon'ble President of India's Address delivered on the eve of Republic Day of India.
Hon'ble Governor of Sabaragamuwa Province H.E. Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, Chief secretary Mrs. Kumudu Karunaratne, Hon'ble former Governor of North Central Province H.E. Sarath Ekanayake, His Worship Kesera D. Senanayake, Mayor of Kandy , Members of Parliament, Central Provincial Council Members, Major General Mr. Senarath Bandara, Kandy DIG Mr. Ranaweera, Government officers/officials of Sri Lanka and other dignitaries, Indian Community and local public attended the function.
